Overcoming Latter-Day Fear

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken (Luke 21:26, NLT).

There is normal everyday fear and then there is Latter Day Fear.  There is diagnosed anxiety and then there is Latter Day Fear.

In the end times, the prophetic principle of birth pangs indicates that trials and tribulation with come with increasing frequency and intensity.

But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. Matthew 24:8 NLT

Putting Luke 21:26 and Matthew 24:8 together …

Consider all that is going in the world today, and this is only the first of the birth pangs, with a lot more to come.  People will faint with fear as they observe what is happening around the earth. But realize it is caused by the clashing of the ultimate purposes of God verses the demonic forces.  OGV

Luke puts things in perspective when he writes…

Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near! Luke 21:27

Matthew adds…

But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. Matthew 28:132-14

Latter Day Fear has the ultimate purpose of an end times revival with millions coming to know Jesus. When we get to heaven and see the harvest of souls, we will rejoice that the Lord tarried.

We overcome Latter Day Fear by becoming a Big Kingdom Person.  We are willing to endure anything because we’ve learned to seek first His Kingdom and His righteous purposes. (Matthew 6:33 OGV)

The end times will bring an increase of violence, wars, catastrophic environmental disasters, with fear increasing and the love of many growing cold. However, at the same time there will a release of His Spirit, accompanied my miracles, conversions, and deliverance.

In the end times, those of faith will find peace in the presence of God — not by a cessation of trials and tribulation.

Fear is a wisp, quickly dispelled by the revelation of God’s presence and purposes.

In the midst of it all because we are in the end times, let us all say, “Come quickly, Lord Jesus!”
