The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all (Psalm 103:19, NASB1995).
Fact from the Bible: God, who created heaven and earth, has the right to do what He wants!!! As Psalm 103 states, “His sovereignty rules over all!”
With Israel the focus of the world now, we watch politicians, pundits, and spokespeople for differing nations and causes weigh in with their opinions. It can be confusing. But God has already spoken His intentions with Israel.
And, of course, being God, only His Word matters.
Fact from the Bible: God promised the land of Israel to the Jews. This promise goes back to God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12 . . .
The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants, I will give this land” (Genesis 12:7).
This promise is repeated in the New Testament in Hebrews 11:8 . . .
By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.
In Jeremiah 32:41, God said . . .
I will rejoice over them to do them good and will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.
Of all of the prophecies in the Old Testament – the #1 prophecy is the first and second comings of Jesus, and the #2 prophecy is about the Jews returning to Israel!!
Fact from the Bible: The land of Israel in the end-times will be the focus of the world, primarily because of the wars that will happen again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again.
That’s nine “agains” because there are nine predicted wars in the Bible involving Israel in the end-times.
One of those wars will start when all the nations on Israel’s borders attack. It’s called the War of Gog and Magog and is described in Ezekial 38 and 39.
Considering today’s current headlines: HHHHMMMHHM!
Fact from the Bible: The ultimate purpose of Israel reestablished as a nation isn’t Israel being reestablished as a nation – but that the Jewish people will proclaim Jesus as Messiah.
Paul writes in Romans 11:25-26 . . .
That a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written (NASB1995).
As Sovereign God, not only does He rule over the nations, but He sent His Word to explain His purposes in history. Let’s sum up Biblical prophecy . . .
The first and second comings of Jesus will come through the nation of Israel.
No wonder the evil one wants to destroy Israel.
A question: Will we believe God’s Word or the false teaching of those who malign both God and the Bible during the end-times?
