Five Trends In 2022

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

When someone prophesies, he speaks to encourage people, to build them up, and to bring them comfort (1 Corinthians 14:3 TPT)

I believe in the gift of prophecy. Paul defines New Testament prophecy as encouragement, building up, and comfort.

Through the past 50 years of following Jesus, I’ve received many prophecies. Some from reading a book, others while listening to a great sermon, and several spoken to me directly from someone who has a gift of prophecy.

I’m not obligated to take any prophecy from another person as God’s direct word – it may or may not be God speaking to me – but scripture does teach to test the spirits (1 John 4:1-2).

You aren’t obligated to believe as absolute truth the following trends that I list for 2022. Consider them suggestions. Create a checklist and let me know which ones grow as fruit of the Spirit in your life this year.

Remember that I am Pastor Grant, not Prophet Grant!

Trend #1

Arising from challenges to faith and the Bible, there will be a significant move of God with those under 30 in the next year. It will start small and build over the next few years (Acts 2:17)

Trend #2

The prosperity of generous followers of Jesus will increase greatly. Resources will flow to ministries serious about discipleship and evangelism (Luke 6:38).

Trend #3

God will reveal Himself as Father to His church. Freedom from demonic and psychological despair with flow supernaturally. Gifts of the bread of life and parents’ prayers for children will be answered (Matthew 7:7-11).

Trend #4

Structures of the church and missions will continue to change – breaking apart and reforming. God’s latter-day revival needs new wineskins (Matthew 9:16-17).

Trend #5

Confidence in preaching and standing for righteousness will pour forth. Followers will learn to speak the truth in love (Colossians 4:5-6).

The five trends will flow from a renewed interest in prayer. The unity of the church, as opposed to bickering for personal agendas, should be the church’s prayer in 2022.

With tender humility and quiet patience, always demonstrate gentleness and generous love toward one another, especially toward those who may try your patience. Be faithful to guard the sweet harmony of the Holy Spirit among you in the bonds of peace, being one body and one spirit, as you were all called into the same glorious hope of divine destiny (Ephesians 4:2-4 TPT).

Amen!

I pray that after reading this Interruption, that you are encouraged, built up, and comforted.
