Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
|
You must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way (1 Peter 3:15-16a, NLT).
In yesterday’s Interruption #1490, I mentioned a current revival on the campus of The Ohio State University that started with an Uber driver.
Recently, about 6,000 students gathered at an event sponsored by the UniteUS™ Movement at Ohio State. Over 2,000 responded to a message about receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior, with hundreds braving frigid temperatures to get baptized.
And. . . the revival at The Ohio State University seems to have started with the National Championship football team. . . and the revival with the football team began with a football player’s encounter with an Uber driver.
If you didn’t see this yesterday, please take a moment to be blessed by watching this video of how the revival began with an Uber driver!
Wow!
A practice that I have followed for years is called Stop ‘N Pray. God gives us regular opportunities to share light in the midst of darkness, and there isn’t a better method than to become a prayer missionary.
For the Uber driver praying for a discouraged Ohio State football player, it just took these three things:
1. Awareness of the situation
2. Courage in asking to pray, and
3. Allowing the Lord to lead the prayer.
We might not start a revival by stopping to pray, but we might bring physical or emotional healing, get an opportunity to talk about Jesus, and always be a blessing with our prayers.

One final blessing: in the CFP Semifinal of Ohio State vs. Texas, the decisive moment came when defensive end Jack Sawyer tackled the quarterback, scooped a fumble and ran 83 yards for a touchdown.
