Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever (1 Chronicles 16:34, NLT).
We are finishing 2023.
Take a moment in the next few days to make a list of your top ten events, blessings, or family times in the past year. There is no better way to enter 2024 than gratitude for the Lord’s goodness in 2023.
Below are a few of my memories (favorites and not-so-favorites) from 2023 — all in photo format.
The Grandkids:
When my daughter Emily posted this photo on Facebook, she said, “What happens when the twins have hidden their magic markers in their bed!”
The Wife:
On vacation. my wife and I went to a nice restaurant. The menus were long, with a candle in the middle of the table. While looking at my menu, the people sitting next to us said, “Fire!” Sure enough, my wife was Pokemoning and had let her long menu drop into a candle.
The Snake:
While my wife and I were walking along a beach in the Philippines. I noticed we had company crawling next to us. My wife immediately got close for a photo op. Later, we found out it was a black-banded Sea-Krait, or the most poisonous snake in the world.
The Cat:
My wife has a cat. Whenever I sit down in my lounge chair to watch TV, the cat jumps in my lap and stares at me. Too bad the cat wasn’t walking on the beach with us in the Philippines!!!!!
The Truck:
This year, I purchased a truck and wrote about it in Interruptions. In 2023, I wrote on the topics of praying, living by faith, the exact date of Jesus’ return, world peace, and Taylor Swift, but the Interruption that I received the most comments about was the truck. Here it is with my grandsons!
Happy New Year!
